Help Enid Remove One Baldric

Enid has danced with the same side for thirty-one years. She wears a white shirt, a black waistcoat, breeches, bell-pads, a neckerchief and two crossed baldrics in the side's colours. She has agreed, in principle, to remove one baldric. The difficulty is that the baldrics are the side's registered kit, lodged with the Federation in 1974 and amended twice. Any alteration requires a two-thirds vote of dancing members at the AGM, which is held in February, after the Squire's report and before the raffle. Last February the vote was deferred pending a written opinion from the Bagman, who is also the treasurer, and who was away. Your donation funds the opinion.

“I have no objection to the baldric coming off. I have an objection to doing it before the minutes are approved.”— Enid and the Baldric Question
